ABOUT ME
My Music Journey
I started playing piano and singing back in kindergarten, and from there I sort of casually played music until about 7th grade, when I taught myself some popular songs on the piano.
It was then that I started delving into YouTube, learning through tutorials, Synthesia videos, and watching other people play.
I also started joining a few choirs and music ministries in my church.
It was through YouTube that I discovered so many different talents, voices, and personalities, and that led me to try out different styles and songs, and I eventually posted my first video on YouTube. Eventually, this led me to create the style of playing that I have today.
My YouTube Journey
I started randomly posting little videos here and there online, and I didn’t have the intention of “growing an audience” or “getting views.”
It was only when one of my covers got shared by the songwriter on Facebook that things started to pick up from there.
I found that my audience really enjoyed using the covers that I made for their own YouTube videos, which is why today my music channel is dedicated to helping other people create awesome covers of their own.
I’ve made some awesome acquaintances throughout the years on YouTube, and a few of them even have become some of my closest friends online.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my music with the world, and I really do hope that people are impacted by the emotion I put into every song cover.
My Animation Journey
I’ve always loved drawing and illustrating, creating little comics and flip-animations in the corners of my school notes.
I got inspired by anime and manga through a close friend of mine in high school, and from there I was fascinated with the genre.
I love telling stories, even if I’m not exactly the best speaker, but YouTube gave me a way to share my stories without worrying about if I stutter or forget my words because I had a script and the ability to make myself sound good on the mic.
Animated storytime videos gave me that opportunity to share stories that I’ve been telling people for years, as well as allowed me to share random thoughts and ramblings that come to mind.
The idea for the Mind Palace series is that I’m able to voice different parts of my personality and give them a life of their own, thus allowing me to give a face to the thoughts in my head and better categorize what I’m feeling.
While I’m only a one-man animation team, hopefully, people will appreciate the work and love I put into these series.
